This is a series of one half penny coins depicting the reign of King George V ranging from 1911 to 1936 which is of bronze metal composition. On the obverse is the crown bust of King George V while the reverse shows “COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA and ONE HALF PENNY and the year.

The mintage of proof coins are unknown which watched high value ( Noble Numismatic sales No.62,11-99, nearly FDC proof realied $56,745)

1970 Australia 50 cents Commemorative Coin

This is the 1970(KM#69) 50 cents Australia commemorative coin which celebrated the 200 th anniversary of the great explorer, Captain Cook’s Australian voyage. The coin is designed by Stuart Devlin. This coin like the 1977 50 cents commemorative coin has the similar 12 shaped pattern.

The normal coin is copper-nickel with a mintage of 16.54 million units whilst the proof coin has only a mintage of 15,000 units compared to the 1977’s 50 cent commemorative mintage of 55,000 units.

This is the 1977(KM#70) 50 cents copper nickel metal composition coin which is a commemorative coin for Queen Eliabeth II’s Silver Jubilee which has a 12 shaped pattern. It has a mintage of 22.1 million units. The proof coin has a mintage of 55,000.
