SARAWAK - JAMES BROOKE 1 CENT COIN (Forgery)
This is a very beautiful reproduction or forged coin of the 1 cent Sarawak Coin of James Brooke reign. So for those coins beginner keen on Sarawak collection, please do watch out otherwise you will be spending good money for bad coin!

Most of the 5, 10 and 20 cents coinage were used as ornaments or buried with the dead and show small solder marks or filled holes. Hence, it is quite difficult for collectors to get undamaged coin. Those undamaged are quite expensive to collect. However for coin investment, it’s important not to invest in such condition.

Earlier articles on the 10 cents 1906H and 50 cents 1906H .800 silver coin under the reign of Rajah Charles Johnson Brooke refers.
Below is the 20 cents.800 silver also under the reign of Raja Charles Johnson Brooke the details as follow:
- the mintage is 25,000 coins
- the weight is 5.43 g ; diameter-23.3m and has milled edge
- other mintage of the 20 cents coins are:
- 1900H-75,000;
- 1906H, 1910H, 1911H and 1915H has similar coin mintage of 25,000 each respectively.
