Refer to part 2 on coin price 1886-1894 and part 3 on coin price 1895-1901 on individual coin price trend of the 50 cents Queen Victoria Straits Settlements.
Below table showed:
(a) rate of return(yield) after deducting cost of purchase (Year 2009/Year 2002 less 1)
(b) Overall summary of total portfolio of investing in 50 cents Queen Victoria Straits Settlements coins
(c) Review of price increases for the two rare coins namely 1893 and 1889
Observations:
(a) The yield from investing in these 50 cents Queen Victoria is not as high as the paper money trend of King George VI or Queen Elizabeth ,etc and
(b) Frankly its quite a disappointment as the mintage for these 50 cents Queen Victoria are not that many in the market and also considering the duration/length of investment ( #18 years)
