Impaired Proof:
A proof which has been damaged either by careless handling or circulation.

Incuse:

A sunken design. The design of a coin which has been impresse below the coin’s surface. When the design is raised above the coin’s surface, it is said to be in relief. [refer article on British Trade Dollars)

Inscription:

The legend or lettering on a coin.

Intrinsic:
As applied to value, the net metallic value as distinguished from face value
