Earlier, brief history background of the British North Borneo coinage refers.
This is the 1 dollar London Borneo Tobacco Company token which has the usual straight 1 dollar figure. Picture 2: The obverse showed “LONDON BORNEO TOBACCO CY” with flower pattern in centre”. Picture 1 showed on the reverse is “PAYS 1 DOLLAR”. The coin has a plain edge, weight of 8.78 grammes with a diameter of 30.5 mm and the metal composition is brass.
Another die variety(picture 3 and 4) in author’s possession is a slanting one dollar London Borneo Tobacco Company. It has been known that this coin has three minor die varieties existing.

This is the 4 gallon token issued by Binatang District Council, Sarawak. At the obverse is ‘B.D.C”(Binatang District Council). The reverse has “4 GALL”(4 Gallons or water). It has a plain edge, weighing 1.80 grammes with a diameter of 20mm with a metal composition copper with central hole.This is struck at the Royal Mint, London. (note that other than the tokens for normal circulation, a very small number of the below was also struck in Proof by the Royal Mint, London)
